Calling all Sisters!! Sister Johns needs our help!

Sisters, I need your help! Due to a last-minute move (someone else's, not ours,) I've been drafted to take over getting the word out to Sierra Ward about the annual Christmas Crèche Art and Music Festival. Please share this with others in the Ward who aren't part of this group. I understand that I will have full-color postcards to share with your friends on Sunday.
FOUR THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE A.V. CHRISTMAS CRÈCHE ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL:
1. It’s a COMMUNITY event celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is held every year at the Lancaster East Stake Center, 44330 27th Street East, Lancaster, CA 93535, and it’s happening Friday, December 5th, through Monday, December 8th, starting at Noon each day. See the schedule and more information on the website:http://www.avcreche.info/index.php
2. Your nativities and other art work which depict events surrounding the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ, are badly needed! Many individuals and families who have displayed their Nativities at the Crèche Festival in the past have moved out of the area. If you are interested, send an email to avcreche@yahoo.com or sign up in the notebooks/packets being passed around on Sunday.
3. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Assignments range from set-up and decorating, to day or night security, and acting as “docents” to help those who attend get the most out of their visits. See the notebooks/packets in quorums and auxiliaries. Sierra Ward members can call or email me, Margaret Johns, to volunteer. My contact information is in the Sierra Ward directory on lds.org.
4. Members of the three stakes in our valley have traditionally bought florist-quality live poinsettias to help decorate the venue, and the money for those is due Sunday! They are $7 each, and any you buy will be yours to keep after the festival is over. Sign up in notebooks/packets being passed around in quorums and auxiliaries, write a check, and turn it in to the Bishopric with a tithing slip on Sunday. Mark the “other” category, and indicate “poinsettias” as the reason. If you sign up but do not pay Sunday, we cannot guarantee you will get a poinsettia.

Visiting Teaching Reporting Time!

Its that time again!  Please send in your Visiting Teaching Report! Reporting will now be done through one email, and any or both companions can report. It’s better to get the information twice, then not at all. This will make it easier to tally our numbers and get them to the Bishopric.
Visiting teaching can now be reported to sierrawardrs@gmail.com. Please have your reports in before the first of every month.  Please record your reporting as follows, so we can keep track of visits:
L= Letter
V= Visit
Ph= Phone Call
N= No visit/contact
D.O. = Dropped something off with Message
Please also let us know how the sisters are doing and if there are any concerns or special needs.  Thank you for all you do!!
